So I recently discovered Snagshout, a network that gives you Amazon products for free or deeply discounted in exchange for an honest review. Considering I buy everything off of Amazon I don’t know how I didn’t know these sites existed.
Check out the video below:
So as you can tell from the video it’s really pretty simple and there aren’t any catches. All you have to do is purchase an item either for free or deeply discounted, and leave a review. Once you’ve left a review you’ll then have the ability to sign up for you next deal. I tend to like to leave reviews on products anyway, so this is an epic win win if the product listings are pretty good and from what I can tell they are. Just on the front page are 4-5 items (dog deshedder, wine aerator, nice water bottle, etc) that I would happily order thought not all are discounted enough to be worth it.
Step By Step
The site is incredibly simple and clean. Sign-up was simple. You choose the categories you are most interested in and link your amazon profile.
Once you get verified, the main page of deals popped up with various filter options. I wish amazon itself looked this clean.
I decided to go with the wine aerating pourer. We drink quite a bit of win (go Costco) but have never bought one of these before. We’re not exactly sophisticated on the topic.
Click snagit and you receive a code to use at checkout on Amazon.
Follow the link to the product, pop in the code and you can see I ended up paying $1.00 for the item.
Conclusion
It’s worth noting that this service (and others like it) are mainly worth it if you are a prime member and shipping is free regardless of how frequently you order items. If you are a prime member, damn get excited! Free gifts!
What do you think? Do you use Snagshout or a similar service? I’ll be signing up for several others and letting you know what I think.
Still here? If so consider using Tradeking (Special $200 bonus offer) for your next brokerage and Personal Capital, my favorite tool to see all your accounts in place. You can also support us by using our Amazon link. We get a bit back if you do and it helps keep the lights on.
Don’t forget to check out our Resources Page where we’re working to keep links to the best of the web for personal finance, investing, travel and frugal badassity.
